By: Lilly Werling
The air is chillier and leaves are falling in Philly. Now that you’ve settled into our classes and gotten a handle on your coursework, it's time to get off campus! There are so many things to do in the city this fall, and you don’t want to miss out.
Flea Markets
The Philly flea market scene is one you can’t miss. Whether you're looking for new clothes or home decor to decorate your apartment, you will surely be able to find it within your price range. Almost every weekend, there’s a flea market going on somewhere in the city. On Saturday, Sept. 28, there will be a market at Drexel from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. You can find the rest of the schedule online.
Flea markets are a great place to go with friends, on a date, or even by yourself. There’s no pressure to make any purchases. There’s tons of cool things to look at, or you can support a small business and come home with something cute! Most flea markets also have at least one food stand if you get hungry while you’re shopping.
Festivals
Looking for something that still feels like summer? Go to one of Philly’s beloved festivals.
The Southeast Asian Market in FDR Park is ongoing and happens every Saturday and Sunday from 10-6. If you want community, culture, and great food, you should check out this market. There are also vendors who sell clothes and jewelry.
