Hadiza's Spring 2025 Playlist
By: Hadiza Mshelia
As people, we all have our soundtracks to our lives – the songs that define what seasons we’re in, and what experiences we’re going through. Spring will be coming sooner than we think, so let me show you some artists whose songs I will SO be jamming to this spring!

Fleetwood Mac
An absolute classic right here! Who doesn’t love Fleetwood Mac? I’ve started to get into their music a lot more this year. What drew me to them is the acoustics, the songwriting, and the emotion that the iconic Stevie Nicks lets out. Some particular songs that bring out a lot of energy and some tense build-up are “Go Your Own Way,” Rumors, and “Silver Springs.” I would give them a listen if you’re into 70’s badass music.
Nessa Barrett
I’ve been following her career since she started as a TikToker in 2019, and since then, she has had a pretty successful music career. I went to her concert last month at the MET and I enjoyed the way she connected with her audience and how much emotion she put into her performance. As someone who’s really into various genres such as pop, alternative, and rock music, I enjoy how she creates such a unique feel to each of her songs. Personally, if I had to pick some favorite songs it would be “Glitter and Violence,” “Stay Alive,” or “Disco.”

Harry Styles
Even though he hasn’t released any new material since “Harry’s House,” I have been listening to all three of his solo albums and some One Direction songs on repeat! Having been a fan since the early 2010s dating back to my days as an elementary schooler, it has been amazing seeing his career go from a typical boy-bander to a pop icon within a decade. I also like how he still focuses on pop but also combines many different genres such as brit-rock and new wave/disco.
Like many of us, I have been yearning for the HS4 album to come out within the next year even though he has been everywhere but the studio. Regardless of when it comes, I’m sure HS4 will be worth the wait!

Laundry Day
Dubbed as the “Funniest Band on Your For You Page” by Rolling Stone (@daundrylay on TikTok), this band has been commended for their chaotic energy, covers of popular artists, and creating their original songs - one of which, “Friends” was featured on the hit Netflix show “On My Block,”. This New York City based band has been one of my top artists on Spotify for the past month or so. Recently, they have released their song “Other Side of The World,” which I have become hooked on due to the catchy melody, the combination of a multitude of genres, and their influences from artists such as Tyler the Creator and Brockhampton.
I hope you find some of your new favorite artists based on my recommendations this spring!
