My April Obsessions

By: Rachel Williams

As we transition from winter to spring, April brings a new sense of energy and gives us a chance to refresh our routines. With cold days behind us and sunny days ahead, I have discovered some new things I just can’t get enough of.

Wizards of Waverly Pod

Who doesn’t love feeling nostalgic and returning to a time when life was more simple? The Wizards of Waverly Pod is hosted by Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise, two stars from Disney Channel's “Wizards of Waverly Place.” In the podcast, the two rewatch the show for the first time in years. They share behind-the-scenes moments, interview people who have worked on the show, and talk about their own lives. I listen to this podcast while I walk to class and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

New episodes air every Monday, so if you long for your childhood days, check them out on S YouTube, or Apple Podcasts.

Only Love is Real

By: Brian Weiss, M.D.

If you’re a person who loves Emily Henry, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Suzanne Collins, or just enjoys reading personal stories, Only Love is Real is the book for you.

The author of the book, Brian Weiss, is a psychiatrist who uses past life regression therapy to help his patients. The book tells the story of two of his patients, Elizabeth and Pedro, who, through regression therapy, uncover a past life where they were deeply in love. As they explore their past lives and the emotions they shared, they come to realize that their love has transcended time and space and that they have been brought together in this lifetime to continue their love story. The book discusses the concept of reincarnation, the power of love, and the interconnectedness of all things.

When I picked this book up, I could not put it down. This book made me think deeply about love and past lives and really changed my perspective on everything. This is an essential book to add to your reading list. Check out Barnes and Noble or Amazon to grab yourself a copy!

$12 Target Sunglasses

Per usual, Target is providing us with fashionable items for a good price. These sunglasses have been one of my favorite accessories in my closet and go with almost any outfit. Having a neutral pair of sunglasses is a staple for your wardrobe. I personally love these because of the shape and the way they frame my face! Whether it’s a sunny day or you just want to add some cover to your face, these sunglasses are perfect.

“Nothing Happens” by Wallows

There is something about the sun being out and this album playing that creates a perfect spring vibe. "Nothing Happens" is the debut studio album by the indie rock band Wallows which was released in early 2019. Although the album is getting old, it is still one of my obsessions in the springtime. The album features 11 tracks with a total runtime of approximately 38 minutes, and it will definitely leave you feeling in a great mood.

Crochet Tops

This spring is about all things crochet. If you’re taking a walk outside and enjoying the weather, it won’t be long until you see someone wearing their own personalized crochet pieces. My friends and I have been picking this up as a hobby during our off time, and it is a great way to escape from our busy day-to-day life.

Whether you want to buy from a small business or make your own, crochet tops are a perfect addition to your closet this season. I love how the tops are unique and breathable and can be styled in so many different ways. I can’t get enough of everyone’s personalized pieces!
